Emily Burns
Originally from Whitby I trained to teach in London and taught in East London before returning to the area to start my own family.
I have taught in several schools in the Whitby area as a supply teacher and in longer posts covering maternity leave.
I took a career break to bring up my own children and returned to teaching last year. I was delighted to be offered a full time position at Airy Hill in January 2018.
I was co-opted on to the board of governors in September 2017.
