We welcome children and families of all abilities and backgrounds to join us at Airy Hill Primary School. Starting school is a major stepping stone in any child’s life and it is our intention to make the transition as smooth as possible. We aim to develop each child to their full potential as an active, happy and confident learner working in partnership to build on the foundations that parents have already laid.

Working in partnership with parents and carers.
We believe that parents and carers are children’s first and most important educators, and we value the strong partnership that supports every child’s learning journey.
Here’s how we work together:
- Stay Connected: We use the Tapestry Learning Journey app to share observations, photos, and videos. Parents can comment and upload their own moments from home.
- Play & Learn Together: Join us for themed days and story sessions where you can play alongside your child.
- Regular Updates: Termly parent meetings to discuss progress and next steps.
- Support at Home: Workshops to help you support your child’s learning beyond the classroom.
