School Vision and Mission

As a Rights Respecting School, our vision and values are rooted in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. These rights are the foundation and driving force behind everything we do. We place Article 3 – the best interests of the child – at the heart of all our decisions, ensuring that every action prioritizes the wellbeing, safety, and development of every child in our care.

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) statutory guidance. Our Rights Respecting curriculum empowers children to understand their rights and responsibilities, to speak up if they feel unsafe, and to respect the rights of others. By embedding these principles across our teaching and school culture, we create an environment where pupils feel valued, listened to, and protected. Through explicit teaching of rights such as Article 19 – protection from harm – and Article 12 – the right to be heard – we ensure that safeguarding is not only a policy but a lived experience for every child.

We are proud of our school’s vision and aims. These were developed with the whole school community.
